Located on the vibrant edge of South Williamsburg, a fast-growing cool neighbourhood with countless amenities, The Oosten has taken the concept of luxury living in New York to a whole new level. A rare example of a development designed by renowned Dutch architect Piet Boon, who has given each residence a modern twist, suitable for singles or families seeking the ‘Williamsburg lifestyle’, a balance of simplicity and elegance.

The project
While the exterior façade is dominated by brick, steel and glass, white Carrara marble and white glossy lacquer finishes were chosen for the interiors, elements which, combined with the large full-height windows, give the rooms brightness, airiness and elegance. For The Oosten, Alta was also responsible for the bathrooms, in which it used marble and lacquered finishes. Large mirrors recall the large full-height windows that characterise the building’s façade, creating a continuum between the enclosed environment and the external structure.
